Of the many amazing sites to see in the Northwest Territories, the Virginia Falls in the Nahanni National Park has to be one of the most spectacular sites to see!

The falls itself drop almost 100m (315ft), by comparison the Niagara Falls/Horseshoe Falls drop 50m (170ft).

The park itself is amazing, it was estalished in 1976 and soon became a World Heritage Site two years later in 1978.

Considering this amazing wonder of nature is literally in our background, it amazes me how many northerners have not seen these Falls.

Our tours provide this opportunity. We partner with local tour operators in Fort Simpson (Simpson Air and South Nahanni Airways) to give you this once in a lifetime experience! We fly from Yellowknife to Fort Simpson, there you will switch to the local tour operator and then you will fly into the Park landing at the head waters of Virginia Falls.

Your guide will be a local Dene from Fort Simpson and a former Park Warden of the Park, he will tell you all about the Park and the Falls.

Snacks and drinks will be provided. After about 3-4 hours at the Falls you will fly back to Fort Simpson and then return to Yellowknife around dinner time, what a day!!

We offer both day and weekend tour packages.

9:30 am – Arrive Fort Simpson

10:00 am – Fly into the Park

5:00 pm – Back in Fort Simpson

5:30 pm – Depart Fort Simpson

7:00 pm – Arrive Yellowknife
