CANADA's NORTH > Extreme Cold

Extreme Cold

What can I say, but if you wanting to have a true northern experience, you need to experience the freezing, ice cold, bone chilling temperatures of northern Canada! You need to come visit us here in Yellowknife in January.

This past winter we were out viewing the Aurora’s in -46 C temperatures…and there was wind to make it even colder! Camera batteries froze in seconds, my fingers would go numb in less than 10 seconds. Usually the coldest months are January and February, but lately weather patterns are changing and this year we had some of our coldest temperatures in March!

Our friends from Australia truly enjoyed the cold weather, taking a break from their normal +40 temps back home. We offer complete winter clothing for rent, you might want to reserve your winter clothing now! See you this winter…oh and make sure to bring your long johns!!
