Amazing northern sunsets

With the Northwest Territories located north of the 60th parallel, we are close to the North Pole and because of this we have some truly amazing sunsets! Of course once we get past the midnight sun months of June and July, the late summer and early fall sunsets provide for some spectacular colors!

As for the winter, the sunsets are truly incredible! Our winter sunsets can last anywhere from 2-4 hours and during this time there are a kaliedescope of natural sunset colors, you really have to experience this for yourself. Not only does the sun change color, but the sky and its clouds seem to mix and magnify these colors!

Anytime of the year is good for viewing our spectacular sunsets, but with winter solstice in December, we recommend coming in January to get the full effect of our winter sunsets. If you're a photographer, you will get some great shots, maybe even that award winning shot you've been looking for!

See you soon!
